Sandtray Therapy is a mostly nonverbal form of therapy that focuses on you or your child expressing yourself through symbol and metaphor using miniature objects and the familiar medium of sand. Sandtray Therapy allows you to construct your own scene that acts as a reflection of your life, allowing you to examine and resolve conflicts, remove obstacles in your way, and gain a better acceptance of yourself. Kristen will help you to reflect on strengths, obstacles, and solutions in your sandtray, while also encouraging you to find the solutions you already have inside of you.
Sandtray Therapy is appropriate for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. While Sandtray Therapy can be used for many different reasons, it can be especially empowering for children and teens who may not have the words to express themselves, those who have been abused or neglected, and those who have experienced trauma.
